Yokem Lake

On 7-27-01, we make the arduous trip to Yokem lake.  It was 5-10 miles of VERY bumpy roads.  I think we could have walked faster than we drove up there.  The lake was very secluded on top of a mountain near Usk, WA.

7-27-01: Having tons of coloring fun in the woods.

7-28-01: Going fishing.  See that long bar of grass?  Apparently that was a large log the provided the perfect fishing spot, but getting out there was rather challenging.  Derrick and the boys fashioned this Huck Fin barge to haul people and equipment.  It worked for the most part.

7-28-01:  Here's Katy and Dad fishing!!  Katy was very patient and worked real hard at getting some fish, but no one was very lucky.

7-28-01:  Grandpa Randy making the return trip with Derrick's youngest son.

7-28-01:  We got rained out and had to return a day early.  But it worked out ok because Sandy's birthday was the following day.  Click here to see her party.
